The Coalition of Ministry Associations of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis will host Spring Formation Day: The Work of Human Hands in Christian Discipleship, a day of retreat and reflection facilitated by Deborah Savage, Ph.D., professor of theology and philosophy at the Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity at the University of Saint Thomas. Spring Formation day is Tuesday, April 14 at Mary, Mother of the Church (3333 Cliff Road) in Burnsville. The day begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration and fellowship, includes Mass with Bishop Lee A. Piche, lunch and concludes at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $25/person if registered by March 30. After March 30, cost is $30. Currently, in addition to her responsibilities as a faculty member at the St. Paul Seminary, Dr. Savage’s primary research interests are in philosophical and theological anthropology. She is the co-founder of the Siena Symposium, a think tank at UST on Christian feminism. She is also a Wojtyla/JPII scholar and has written, presented or published several papers on how his philosophical anthropology informs his body of work as Pope John Paul II.
